72χρονος συνελήφθη επειδή απείλησε να σκοτώσει τον Ντόναλντ Τραμπ – Galaksias.com

Ένας άνδρας ηλικίας 72 ετών, που είχε προειδοποιήσει τις αμερικανικές αρχές για το σχέδιό του να σκοτώσει τον Ντόναλντ Τραμπ πριν και μετά τις προεδρικές εκλογές του 2020, συνελήφθη σήμερα το πρωί, ανακοίνωσε το γραφείο του ομοσπονδιακού εισαγγελέα του Μπρούκλιν.

Ο Τόμας Γουέλνικι «συνειδητά και εσκεμμένα απείλησε να σκοτώσει, να απαγάγει και να προκαλέσει σωματικές βλάβες» στον πρώην πρόεδρο των ΗΠΑ, αναφέρει στο δικαστικό έγγραφο που δημοσιεύτηκε σήμερα προκειμένου να στηριχθεί το ένταλμα σύλληψης.

Ο ύποπτος, που συνελήφθη από τους πράκτορες της Μυστικής Υπηρεσίας (της υπηρεσίας που είναι επιφορτισμένη με την προστασία των προέδρων και αντιπροέδρων των ΗΠΑ) αναμένεται να παρουσιαστεί αργότερα σήμερα ενώπιον της δικαιοσύνης.

Σύμφωνα με το έγγραφο, ο άνδρας είχε τηλεφωνήσει τουλάχιστον τρεις φορές, στο διάστημα μεταξύ 24 Σεπτεμβρίου και 2 Δεκεμβρίου του 2021, στο γραφείο της Secret Service στη Νέα Υόρκη για να δηλώσει τις προθέσεις του, ζητώντας πληροφορίες σχετικά με την προστασία του Ντόναλντ Τραμπ και διαβεβαιώνοντας πως κατείχε ήδη ένα πυροβόλο όπλο.

«Θα κάνω ό,τι μπορώ για να διασφαλίσω ότι θα είναι νεκρός», προειδοποίησε ο Νεοϋορκέζος, που διαμένει στο Ροκαγουέι Μπιτς, στο Μπρούκλιν, αποκαλώντας τον Τραμπ «Χίτλερ», κατά τη διάρκεια μιας τηλεφωνικής επικοινωνίας τον Νοέμβριο του 2021.

Ο εβδομηντάχρονος είχε ήδη διατυπώσει απειλές το καλοκαίρι του 2020, πριν από τις προεδρικές εκλογές στην αστυνομία του Καπιτωλίου στην Ουάσιγκτον, διαβεβαιώνοντας ότι «θα προμηθευόταν όπλα και θα κατέστρεφε» τον Ντόναλντ Τραμπ, εάν αυτός έχανε στις εκλογές και δεν παραδεχόταν την ήττα του.

Την 4η Ιανουαρίου του 2021, δηλαδή δύο ημέρες πριν από την εισβολή στο Καπιτώλιο υποστηρικτών του Ρεπουμπλικανού δισεκατομμυριούχου, ο ύποπτος άφησε δύο μηνύματα στον τηλεφωνητή του γραφείου της Μυστικής Υπηρεσίας του Λονγκ Άιλαντ, μιας άλλης συνοικίας της Νέας Υόρκης. Απειλούσε τότε να σκοτώσει τον Ντόναλντ Τραμπ, όπως και 12 μέλη του Κογκρέσου που δεν κατονόμαζε.
